Magical Woodland Ferns and Lichens
Speaker: Joe Walewski, author of The North Woods, Director of
Naturalist Training at Wolf Ridge Environmental Center in Grand
Marais, Minnesota. Often overlooked and clearly underappreciated,
lichens are wonderfully diverse and surprisingly beautiful. Joe will
guide us through habitats from the shore of Lake Superior to inland
forests and rocky outcrops as we learn about the lives of lichens and
ferns.
